The Regional Environment Center (REC) Albania, within the framework of the program "Support to Civil Society Organizations in Albania (SENiOR-II)", supported by the Swedish Government (SWEDEN), as part of the Training Program on Environmental Management organizes training with the theme "Sustainable Transport and Mobility - Progress in Albania and the role of civil society".
The training aims to familiarize participants with the new concept "Smart Cities", the evolution of transport to the city towards sustainable transport, the successful practices implemented in our country, and the role of civil society in promoting these initiatives.
The training will take place in the city of Tirana on April 9 - 10, 2018.
The main lecturer in this training will be the German expert Mr. Torben Heinemann, Leipzig's Urban Planning Chief and lecturer at the German Urban Planning Institute, specializing in sustainable mobility strategies.
NGOs wishing to take part in the training should send (i) an Expression of Interest to participate and (ii) the CV of the applying person to participate in the training, clearly indicating his role within the NGO and his link to the subject of training.
As most of the training will be in English, the knowledge of this language will be a selective criterion for participating in this training.
