During urban game

On October 31, 2017, at "The Cloud" installation in the capital city, in cooperation with environmental, urbanistic, architecture and transportation experts, took place a hands-off activity on the World Cities Day. Games on urban planning and biodiversity in the city and conversations about the best experiences on how to make Tirana a wiser city were the main subject of this day.

The citizens who played the urban game had the opportunity to develop the city from scratch based on the function of buildings that everyone chose in secret envelopes. The conclusion was not far from the chaotic reality we live in today, with the only difference that in reality we cannot undo the mistakes just as easy as on a paper.

Just think about how communication, collaboration, and sharing of knowledge makes our life easier without losing the zeal of doing things quickly and first, as it has happened today. While those involved in games on biodiversity distinguished animal species we see more and more rarely in the city.

For all those involved in our games, we gave Jaime Lerner's Urban Acupuncture book, translated by Diane Mile.

The event was held in the framework of the ACHIEVE Environmental Days celebration, implemented by the Regional Environmental Center (REC) Albania, in cooperation with Tirana's Policy and Education Directorate.
